1. About the Platform

Wiggly Tails ("Wiggly Tails") is a platform connecting verified rescue organizations across Europe with potential adopters. We facilitate discovery and communication — we are not a party to any adoption agreement between rescues and adopters.

2. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts
• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information

3. Rescue Organizations

Rescue organizations using our platform agree to:

• Provide accurate information about their organization and animals
• Maintain valid permits where required (e.g., §11 TierSchG in Germany, SIAC in Portugal)
• Comply with all applicable animal welfare laws in their jurisdiction
• Respond to adoption inquiries in a timely manner
• Not list animals that are not genuinely available for adoption
• Keep animal profiles up to date, especially regarding adoption status

4. Adopters

Potential adopters using our platform agree to:

• Provide truthful information in adoption applications
• Understand that submitting an application does not guarantee adoption
• Respect the rescue organization's screening process and timeline
• Not misrepresent their living situation, experience, or intentions

5. Content Guidelines

• Do not post misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content
• Do not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property
• Do not use the platform for commercial breeding or puppy trading
• Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience

6. Liability

Wiggly Tails acts as an intermediary platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by rescue organizations. We are not liable for any disputes, injuries, or damages arising from interactions between rescues and adopters. Each adoption is a direct agreement between the rescue organization and the adopter.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, post fraudulent content, or misuse the platform. Users may delete their accounts at any time through the settings page.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
