Why Wiggly Tails Exists

I'll be honest — my first dog wasn't a rescue.

When the time came to get a dog, I wanted to adopt. But the truth is, I was scared. I didn't know what to expect, didn't know how to handle a dog with a difficult past, and wasn't sure I was ready for it. The doubts won, and I ended up getting a non-rescue dog instead.

But then something happened. Having her in my life showed me just how much love you can have for a dog — and how much they give back. And once I felt that bond, I couldn't stop thinking about the millions of rescue dogs around the world who may never experience that same life. Dogs in shelters, in kennels, on the streets — waiting for a home that might never come.

I couldn't go back and change my own decision. But I could do the next best thing: help other people not end up with the same fears I had. Help them feel prepared, informed, and confident enough to choose a rescue dog.

That's why Wiggly Tails exists. I build this platform in my spare time — no big team, no investors, no board of directors. Just a stubborn belief that if we give people the right tools, the right guides, and connect them with the right rescues, more dogs will find homes. And fewer people will let fear stand in the way.
